Today’s guest is Tamar Ilana, and in this episode we talk about her journey in world music, focusing on Flamenco and Sephardic Music. We also discuss Urgnt Live, a project started to help musicians in light of the current pandemic.
Tamar Ilana is a powerful and versatile Canadian singer and flamenco dancer of mixed descent, renowned for her ability to sing in multiple languages and collaborate with various artistic communities from around the world. Tamar has recorded three albums with her world music fusion project Ventanas and directs the polyphonic Ukrainian a capella collective Kosa Koliadnyky. Tamar tours with various projects including the Esmeralda Enrique Spanish Dance Company, Sultans of String and Jaffa Road.
